Unit 1: Lesson 3 Production Design: Location, setting and mood
Today I learnt…- that the location, setting and mood can change the genre of your story. A dark, spooky genre can differ from a bright and cheerful genre because by changing the colour of the scene, you can change your genre.
- changing the mood by adding lighting and various colours and fog. It shows relationship and emotion between two people or two different points of view.
- adding swatches to change the location of your setting.
Unit 1: Lesson 4 Production Design: Characters, props and set dressings
Today I learnt…- that props can create a world for your settings to take place. The props can also change the mood and settings of your story line.
Something I found interesting was…
- that props, moods and settings can change the atmosphere of the world in your story. If a plain setting is shown, the mood of the story is much lower than if the setting is a colourful one.
I want to find more about…
- grouping objects to change the setting of you story.
Unit 1: Lesson 5 Acting and animating
Today I learnt…
- that movement helps find the difference between whether the character is older or in a less comfortable position.
Something I found interesting…
- was how to keep the character positioned in the correct place by zooming and checking that your character or object is not floating in mid-air. The position of the character relates to the mood and emotions of the setting.
I want to find out more about…
- how to make an object not repeat itself more than once.
Unit 1: Lesson 6 Adding Narration
Today I learnt…
- volume, tone and expression are very important in the story. They create a story within themselves. To perform the words tell a story in a different piont of view.
Something I found interesting…
- was that changing the tone of your voice can completely change your story line. It shows the difference of moods between two people.
I want to find out more about…
- how to add effects to your animation while you are animating.
